Low cars. Big personality. A relaxed day in the Netherlands, seen through the SLAM lens.
For its first show, Envy-US set a relaxed pace. I headed north in the Netherlands with the camera, looking for the cars that made me stop and take another look. There was plenty to find: old-school Subarus, a blue wide-body E36 and a GT-R with exhausts that looked like they belonged on a jet fighter.
The orange-and-white Volkswagen was one of those builds you could keep walking around and still notice something new. The colour ran through the drinks, tools and door cards, right down to the Dutch clogs. It was the owner's personality, carried through every detail.
That was the thread running through the day. A particular wheel choice, an unexpected colour, the way a car sat on the grass. Between the cars were conversations, people cleaning the last marks away and time to simply enjoy the show. No rush—just a chilled atmosphere and plenty worth photographing.
These are the frames I brought home from Envy-US 2026. Which build would have stopped you in your tracks?
